What the data says

Of the 119 pupils who finished Year 11 at Bishop Stopford's School in 2023, 44% stayed on in Bishop Stopford's School’s own sixth form (Enfield average 57%), 29% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 42 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 38% went to university (Enfield 55%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 36.5 against 46.1 across England and 46.3 in Enfield, with 30% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 20% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.
