What the data says

Of the 325 pupils who finished Year 11 at Mayfield School in 2023, 68% stayed on in Mayfield School’s own sixth form (Redbridge average 70%), 20% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 169 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 63% went to university (Redbridge 69%, England 37%), and 18% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Computer Science is unusually popular at GCSE: 33% of the year group took it, against 13% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.0 against 46.1 across England and 53.9 in Redbridge, with 37% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
