What the data says

Of the 209 pupils who finished Year 11 at Cardinal Langley Roman Catholic High School in 2023, 33% stayed on in Cardinal Langley Roman Catholic High School’s own sixth form (Rochdale average 3%), 43% went to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 70 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 46% went to university (Rochdale 35%, England 37%), and 20% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 94% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 40.9 against 46.1 across England and 40.6 in Rochdale, with 32% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
