What the data says
Of the 215 pupils who finished Year 11 at Budehaven Community School in 2023, 37% stayed on in Budehaven Community School’s own sixth form (Cornwall average 15%), 22% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 78 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 35% went to university (Cornwall 24%, England 37%), and 27% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Design and Technology is unusually popular at GCSE: 23% of the year group took it, against 11% of pupils across England.
