Of the 117 pupils who finished Year 11 at Whitby School in 2023, 23% stayed on in Whitby School’s own sixth form (North Yorkshire average 34%), 22% went to a further education college and 7% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 83 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 28% went to university (North Yorkshire 42%, England 37%), and 7% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Art and Design is unusually popular at GCSE: 44% of the year group took it, against 7% of pupils across England.
