What the data says

Of the 233 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Stockwood Park Academy in 2023, 12% stayed on in The Stockwood Park Academy’s own sixth form (Luton average 13%), 36% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 59 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 41% went to university (Luton 52%, England 37%), and 4% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 39% of leavers went to one, roughly three times the England rate of 13%.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 35.9 against 46.1 across England and 45.0 in Luton, with 21% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
