What the data says

Of the 160 pupils who finished Year 11 at Ormiston Bushfield Academy in 2023, 60% stayed on in Ormiston Bushfield Academy’s own sixth form (Peterborough average 49%), 31% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 66 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 61% went to university (Peterborough 29%, England 37%), and 18% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 46.3 against 46.1 across England and 43.0 in Peterborough, with 44% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost nobody goes straight into an apprenticeship or a job: none took an apprenticeship and 1% went into work, against 3% and 3% across England.
