What the data says

Of the 196 pupils who finished Year 11 at Kingsbridge Academy in 2023, 64% stayed on in Kingsbridge Academy’s own sixth form (Devon average 23%), 25% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 130 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 32% went to university (Devon 25%, England 37%), and 26% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 21% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 49.6 against 46.1 across England and 45.4 in Devon, with 55% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
