Of the 195 pupils who finished Year 11 at Southfield School for Girls in 2023, 57% stayed on in Southfield School for Girls’ own sixth form (North Northamptonshire average 40%), 36% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 118 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 56% went to university (North Northamptonshire 57%, England 37%), and 11% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 95% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 46.8 against 46.1 across England and 42.9 in North Northamptonshire, with 46% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
