What the data says

East Bergholt High School has no sixth form. Of the 186 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 5% moved to a sixth form college, 40% to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

Business Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 44% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 47.8 against 46.1 across England and 42.8 in Suffolk, with 48% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Languages are a small part of the curriculum here: entries in German and French add up to 14% of the year group, and 14% of pupils entered the full EBacc set of subjects (England 41%).
