What the data says

Moor End Academy has no sixth form. Of the 198 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 51% moved to a sixth form college, 42% to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 51% of leavers went to one, roughly three times the England rate of 13%.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.9 against 46.1 across England and 46.4 in Kirklees, with 45% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost every leaver found a sustained destination: only 1% were not in education, work or training six months on, against 6% nationally.
