Of the 268 pupils who finished Year 11 at Cheadle Hulme High School in 2023, 34% stayed on in Cheadle Hulme High School’s own sixth form (Stockport average 8%), 16% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 154 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 75% went to university (Stockport 52%, England 37%), and 63% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 60.7 against 46.1 across England and 47.1 in Stockport, with 75% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 38% of leavers went to one, roughly three times the England rate of 13%.
