What the data says

Of the 187 pupils who finished Year 11 at Stanground Academy in 2023, 41% stayed on in Stanground Academy’s own sixth form (Peterborough average 49%), 45% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 81 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 42% went to university (Peterborough 29%, England 37%), and 6% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 100% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-. The largest A level subjects are Mathematics, Psychology and English Language and Literature.
