Of the 254 pupils who finished Year 11 at English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College in 2023, 28% stayed on in English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College’s own sixth form (Hartlepool average 7%), 60% went to a further education college and 5% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 88 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 63% went to university (Hartlepool 21%, England 37%), and 22% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 14% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 94% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.
