What the data says

Of the 108 pupils who finished Year 11 at Robert Barclay Academy in 2023, 42% stayed on in Robert Barclay Academy’s own sixth form (Hertfordshire average 58%), 52% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 29 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 24% went to university (Hertfordshire 42%, England 37%), and 5% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 14% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 96% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-; 0% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Media Studies, English Literature and History.
