Of the 161 pupils who finished Year 11 at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy in 2023, 45% stayed on in Sir Thomas Wharton Academy’s own sixth form (Doncaster average 29%), 25% went to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.
Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 35% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.
Among the 40 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 40% went to university (Doncaster 28%, England 37%), and 16% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
