What the data says

Of the 139 pupils who finished Year 11 at Astrea Academy Sheffield in 2023, 29% stayed on in Astrea Academy Sheffield’s own sixth form (Sheffield average 36%), 19% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 40% of leavers went to one, roughly three times the England rate of 13%.

Fine Art is unusually popular at GCSE: 23% of the year group took it, against 9% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.4 against 46.1 across England and 43.2 in Sheffield, with 47% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
