What the data says

Of the 142 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Grove School in 2023, 31% stayed on in The Grove School’s own sixth form (Shropshire average 15%), 36% went to a further education college and 7% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 40 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 58% went to university (Shropshire 36%, England 37%), and 19% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

German is unusually popular at GCSE: 36% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 39.5 against 46.1 across England and 42.5 in Shropshire, with 28% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
