Of the 193 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Hinckley School in 2023, 31% stayed on in The Hinckley School’s own sixth form (Leicestershire average 28%), 39% went to a further education college and 8% started an apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 8% of leavers started one, roughly twice the England figure of 3%.
Among the 132 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 44% went to university (Leicestershire 40%, England 37%), and 17% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-; 6% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Mathematics, Psychology and Sociology.
