Of the 138 pupils who finished Year 11 at Sir John Nelthorpe School in 2023, 14% stayed on in Sir John Nelthorpe School’s own sixth form (North Lincolnshire average 4%), 28% went to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 41% of leavers went to one, roughly three times the England rate of 13%.

Among the 26 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 38% went to university (North Lincolnshire 42%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 12% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 29% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.
