Of the 107 pupils who finished Year 11 at Carterton Community College in 2023, 36% stayed on in Carterton Community College’s own sixth form (Oxfordshire average 45%), 37% went to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 25 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 32% went to university (Oxfordshire 28%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 12% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

A level grades average E+, well below the England average of B-; 0% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Psychology, Biology and English Language and Literature.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 33.8 against 46.1 across England and 46.4 in Oxfordshire, with 19% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
