Of the 270 pupils who finished Year 11 at Cheney School in 2023, 51% stayed on in Cheney School’s own sixth form (Oxfordshire average 45%), 29% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 130 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 59% went to university (Oxfordshire 28%, England 37%), and 31% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Chemistry is unusually popular at GCSE: 43% of the year group took it, against 23% of pupils across England.
