What the data says

Of the 260 pupils who finished Year 11 at Ashmole Academy in 2023, 70% stayed on in Ashmole Academy’s own sixth form (Barnet average 63%), 18% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 276 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 65% went to university (Barnet 55%, England 37%), and 43% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 59.9 against 46.1 across England and 56.7 in Barnet, with 69% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Business Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 58% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
