Of the 118 pupils who finished Year 11 at Fort Pitt Grammar School in 2023, 76% stayed on in Fort Pitt Grammar School’s own sixth form (Medway average 54%), 17% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 65.9 against 46.1 across England and 46.1 in Medway, with 85% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%) — as a selective grammar school, Fort Pitt Grammar School admits pupils by test at 11, which drives these figures.

Among the 101 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 60% went to university (Medway 30%, England 37%), and 19% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 20% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.
