What the data says

Of the 166 pupils who finished Year 11 at St Edward's College in 2023, 63% stayed on in St Edward's College’s own sixth form (Liverpool average 46%), 18% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 163 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 63% went to university (Liverpool 43%, England 37%), and 40% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Music is unusually popular at GCSE: 22% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 51.6 against 46.1 across England and 42.1 in Liverpool, with 62% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
