What the data says

The Petersfield School has no sixth form. Of the 279 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 21% moved to a sixth form college, 59% to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 56.4 against 46.1 across England and 45.5 in Hampshire, with 64% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 20% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

Almost every leaver found a sustained destination: only 2% were not in education, work or training six months on, against 6% nationally.
