Of the 180 pupils who finished Year 11 at The King's School, Grantham in 2023, 83% stayed on in The King's School, Grantham’s own sixth form (Lincolnshire average 40%), 11% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 144 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 73% went to university (Lincolnshire 39%, England 37%), and 56% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 72.7 against 46.1 across England and 45.1 in Lincolnshire, with 95% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%) — as a selective grammar school, The King's School, Grantham admits pupils by test at 11, which drives these figures.

Business Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 72% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
