Of the 78 pupils who finished Year 11 at Appleby Grammar School in 2023, 26% stayed on in Appleby Grammar School’s own sixth form (Westmorland and Furness average 32%), 47% went to a further education college and 9% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 26 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 23% went to university (Westmorland and Furness 27%, England 37%), and 30% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
