What the data says

Of the 269 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Brunts Academy in 2023, 26% stayed on in The Brunts Academy’s own sixth form (Nottinghamshire average 36%), 57% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 98% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

Among the 81 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 44% went to university (Nottinghamshire 40%, England 37%), and 18% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.5 against 46.1 across England and 46.8 in Nottinghamshire, with 44% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
