Of the 124 pupils who finished Year 11 at Spalding Grammar School in 2023, 75% stayed on in Spalding Grammar School’s own sixth form (Lincolnshire average 40%), 17% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 120 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 58% went to university (Lincolnshire 39%, England 37%), and 31% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 58.8 against 46.1 across England and 45.1 in Lincolnshire, with 75% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%) — as a selective grammar school, Spalding Grammar School admits pupils by test at 11, which drives these figures.

Art and Design is unusually popular at GCSE: 36% of the year group took it, against 7% of pupils across England.
