What the data says

Of the 161 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Garibaldi School in 2023, 19% stayed on in The Garibaldi School’s own sixth form (Nottinghamshire average 36%), 59% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 33 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 58% went to university (Nottinghamshire 40%, England 37%), and 15% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 12% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

Spanish is unusually popular at GCSE: 67% of the year group took it, against 19% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 44.4 against 46.1 across England and 46.8 in Nottinghamshire, with 47% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
