What the data says

Of the 154 pupils who finished Year 11 at Leigh Academy Halley in 2023, 50% stayed on in Leigh Academy Halley’s own sixth form (Greenwich average 53%), 11% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 61 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 41% went to university (Greenwich 46%, England 37%), and 2% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 22% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 31% of leavers went to one, roughly twice the England rate of 13%.
