Of the 178 pupils who finished Year 11 at Leigh Academy Blackheath in 2023, 61% stayed on in Leigh Academy Blackheath’s own sixth form (Greenwich average 53%), 11% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 26% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 55.0 against 46.1 across England and 46.9 in Greenwich, with 61% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Nearly everyone studies a modern language to GCSE (Spanish, French entries add up to 89% of the cohort), which is rare outside selective and independent schools.
