What the data says

Carisbrooke College has no sixth form. Of the 108 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 1% moved to a sixth form college, 52% to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

Food Preparation and Nutrition is unusually popular at GCSE: 48% of the year group took it, against 8% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 41.4 against 46.1 across England and 41.5 in Isle of Wight, with 30% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Languages are a small part of the curriculum here: entries in French add up to 16% of the year group, and 29% of pupils entered the full EBacc set of subjects (England 41%).
