What the data says

Northfield School and Sports College has no sixth form. Of the 275 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 4% moved to a sixth form college, 75% to a further education college and 5% started an apprenticeship.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 79% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

10% of leavers were not in sustained education, employment or training six months on, compared with 6% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.3 against 46.1 across England and 45.0 in Stockton-on-Tees, with 49% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
