Of the 132 pupils who finished Year 11 at North Shore Academy in 2023, 9% moved to a sixth form college, 65% to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

14% of leavers were not in sustained education, employment or training six months on, compared with 6% nationally.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 32% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 48.2 against 46.1 across England and 45.0 in Stockton-on-Tees, with 48% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
