What the data says
Of the 180 pupils who finished Year 11 at Bridlington School in 2023, 23% stayed on in Bridlington School’s own sixth form (East Riding of Yorkshire average 24%), 54% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.
GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 30.2 against 46.1 across England and 44.9 in East Riding of Yorkshire, with 15% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
Among the 40 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 50% went to university (East Riding of Yorkshire 37%, England 37%), and 18% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
