Cottingham High School has no sixth form. Of the 170 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 29% moved to a sixth form college, 26% to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 64 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 56% went to university (East Riding of Yorkshire 37%, England 37%), and 28% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 21% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.
