Goole Academy has no sixth form. Of the 197 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 24% moved to a sixth form college, 47% to a further education college and 8% started an apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 8% of leavers started one, roughly twice the England figure of 3%.
GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 49.9 against 46.1 across England and 44.9 in East Riding of Yorkshire, with 54% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
Languages are a small part of the curriculum here: entries in French and Spanish add up to 20% of the year group, and 28% of pupils entered the full EBacc set of subjects (England 41%).
