Results below include those reported under the school’s previous registration: Settlebeck High School (URN 112380, until 1 August 2011).

What the data says

Settlebeck School has no sixth form. Of the 45 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 2% moved to a sixth form college, 47% to a further education college and 16% started an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 16% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 44.0 against 46.1 across England and 45.4 in Westmorland and Furness, with 44% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost every leaver found a sustained destination: only 0% were not in education, work or training six months on, against 6% nationally.
