What the data says

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College is a 16–19 provider, so there is no Year 11 cohort: this page covers where its students went after 16–18 study and what they achieved.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 10.3 against 46.1 across England and 42.9 in South Gloucestershire, with 11% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Among the 1,765 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 13% went to university (South Gloucestershire 26%, England 37%), and 4% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 12% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-; 8% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Psychology, Sociology and Mathematics.
