What the data says

Of the 111 pupils who finished Year 11 at Silverstone UTC in 2023, 35% stayed on in Silverstone UTC’s own sixth form (West Northamptonshire average 42%), 45% went to a further education college and 11% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 114 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 28% went to university (West Northamptonshire 37%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 20% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 11% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 31.1 against 46.1 across England and 44.7 in West Northamptonshire, with 15% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
