What the data says

Of the 149 pupils who finished Year 11 at Greatfields School in 2023, 56% stayed on in Greatfields School’s own sixth form (Barking and Dagenham average 49%), 28% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 38% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-; 9% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Mathematics, Sociology and Biology.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.6 against 46.1 across England and 48.4 in Barking and Dagenham, with 42% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
