Of the 162 pupils who finished Year 11 at Ron Dearing UTC in 2023, 68% stayed on in Ron Dearing UTC’s own sixth form (Kingston upon Hull, City of average 17%), 6% went to a further education college and 10% started an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 10% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.

Among the 160 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 28% went to university (Kingston upon Hull, City of 34%, England 37%), and 10% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 39% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
