Cumberland Community School has no sixth form. Of the 285 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 28% moved to a sixth form college and 27% to a further education college.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 96% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 52.6 against 46.1 across England and 51.2 in Newham, with 59% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
