What the data says

Of the 187 pupils who finished Year 11 at Knutsford Academy in 2023, 41% stayed on in Knutsford Academy’s own sixth form (Cheshire East average 40%), 30% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 88 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 61% went to university (Cheshire East 27%, England 37%), and 21% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 54.9 against 46.1 across England and 47.1 in Cheshire East, with 68% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

French is unusually popular at GCSE: 41% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
