What the data says

Of the 141 pupils who finished Year 11 at Lyng Hall School in 2023, 56% stayed on in Lyng Hall School’s own sixth form (Coventry average 46%), 20% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

15% of leavers were not in sustained education, employment or training six months on, compared with 6% nationally.

Among the 49 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 49% went to university (Coventry 39%, England 37%), and 7% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 32.6 against 46.1 across England and 44.0 in Coventry, with 18% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
