Avonbourne Boys' Academy has no sixth form. Of the 115 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, none moved to a sixth form college, 47% to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

French is unusually popular at GCSE: 45% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 47.3 against 46.1 across England and 50.5 in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, with 59% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
