What the data says
Of the 217 pupils who finished Year 11 at Pudsey Grammar School in 2023, 48% stayed on in Pudsey Grammar School’s own sixth form (Leeds average 32%), 27% went to a further education college and 5% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 111 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 43% went to university (Leeds 35%, England 37%), and 16% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 14% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
Fine Art is unusually popular at GCSE: 20% of the year group took it, against 9% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 44.0 against 46.1 across England and 45.5 in Leeds, with 43% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
